Print vs Digital

Print Positives
1. Helps better understand exposure and shutter speed.
2. Much more cheaper to produce than digital photos.
3. Film Cameras can operate without batteries.
4. Print photo is much more traditional.
5. Print photos have potential to be higher quality than digital photos.

Print Negatives
1. Not as easy to access as digital.
2. Cost extra money to be developed.
3. Can be damaged if not stored correctly.
4. Film speed is no where near as fast as digital.
5. Dust getting on the photos is always a challenge when photos are being developed.

Digital Positives
1. Easier and more convient to store. (memory cards)
2. Cheaper to develop.
3. Can be edited easily in programs like photoshop.
4. Pictures are viewable instantly after they have been taken.
5. Most digital cameras have rechargeable batteries.

Digital Negatives
1. Lower resolution compared to some print photos.
2. Cost more than print cameras.
3. All memory can be lost if computers or memory cards lose all data.
4. Viewed by some photographers as "less authentic" than print photo.
5. Digital cameras sometimes have problems in dynamic range.
